Affordable Overdenture

Attachment retained overdenture is another affordable denture option for definitive treatment. These are the points to consider in attachment retained overdenture.
1. The design should be simple.
2. Only teeth with good periodontal health should be kept.
3. The space available for denture, including attachments, metal framework, and denture teeth should be evaluated carefully.
4. Adequate retention of the copings should be obtained to decrease the risk of cementation failure, intraradicular caries and root fractures. In patients who can not afford dental implants, it is better to keep small roots, which do not allow preparation to provide a post with proper retention and stability.
